What I'm going to miss....

The last few months have ushered in new  changes for our business. We are switching gears and listing all of our pre-made items on the etsy site instead of preparing for new shows here in San Diego.

Why you might ask? Well we are also going through a few changes in our life, Skidz baby #4 will be arriving and Mr. Skidz will be deploying. I know that I will not be able to handle the load here at home and be prepared for local shows. Give us another year or so then watch out as I am very excited about some of the new opportunities here in California!

We are thankful for our loyal fans and customers who are sticking with us during this growing phase!

I am very much going to miss meeting new customers face to face and learning your stories. That has been the favorite part of my "job" this far in our journey. 

We are hoping to do 2 small shows. One in October and one in November. Stay tuned for more information on those! In the meantime, please enjoy a 15% discount on your total purchase in our etsy store. News on custom orders

Hi guys!

We are settling into our new home and I am slowly getting my sewing studio to where it needs to be.

We will be reopening for business September 1st. I will be posting a huge amount of stock at discount prices to make room for new products.

We will not be able to take custom orders at this time for a few reasons....

1. We found out we are expecting Skidz kid #4 in February.

2. Mr. Skidz will be deploying before the newest arrives.

I want to spend time with him and our family without the pressure of custom orders that are due. Deployments are notriously hard and we don't want to miss a single minute with him.

I will be introducing a few new products and still sewing pre mades for sale. If I decide that the schedule can handle a few custom orders, I will open it up for first come, first served.

M-Day

Moving Day

It is so hard to believe that our move date is almost upon us! We will be leaving the east coast on June 29th and arriving (we hope) to sunny California around July 7th.

We are currently closed for ALL custom orders and will not be shipping any pre-mades until we are settled in CA.

We are so very thankful for all the clients that have made us a success here in North Carolina. Our sincerest hope is that you remember us when you need a personalized item as we love to ship!

I (Mrs. Skidz) am not anticipating to re-open until after the kids start school. I want to give them some summer that doesn't involve packing/moving/unpacking!

Re-opening.....

I have been fielding many folks asking when we will be open for custom orders again.

The answer???

I still don't know! I am sorry y'all!

We leave North Carolina at the end of June and arrive to California around July 7th.

I will need to unpack & organize then enjoy what little summer I have left with the kids.

School starts August 12th for them so.....

we will reopen sometime after that!

Orders

Marine Corps orders that is....

We received confirmation that we will be headed to the west coast this summer.

 

In preparation for the move & readying our house for rental, I will keep the shop closed for custom orders at this time.

 

If I get to a reasonaly organized state with the house, I will open back up for limited orders.

 

In the meantime, I will finish outstanding custom orders and work on pre-made items to purchase!

Our first international order

We are so very thankful for every single customer who has brought us to our current level.
We are pleased to say that we had our first international order this week.
These EGA's are off to Okinawa!

Max Capacity

Howdy SWC clientele!
We are currently at max capacity for orders through February after all the orders we received this weekend.

I appreciate your time and patience. I am working as fast as I can to get orders out. Currently, I have a few things that are slowing our turnaround time down.

I have been diagnosed with De Quervain's tenosynovitis. Which is a painful condition affecting the tendons on the thumb side of your wrist. If you have de Quervain's tenosynovitis, it will probably hurt every time you turn your wrist, grasp anything or make a fist.

Although the exact cause of de Quervain's tenosynovitis isn't known, any activity that relies on repetitive hand or wrist movement — such as working in the garden, playing golf or racket sports or lifting your baby — can make it worse. Not to mention hours at the sewing machines!!

Also, Mr. Skidz is getting ready to leave out of town for training. This leaves our three kiddos and all the household items in my lap. (Did I mention we are also now preparing for a cross country move?!?)
