So here we are in a social distanced world. I am firing up the old blog as a way to journal what life is like here in our household during these strange and somewhat scary times.
The kids and I spent last week doing schoolwork that I picked out (much to Kendall and Isaac's dismay. And in the midst of complaints of "We don't do this kind of stuff at school.") I tried to explain to them that I would like to keep their brains engaged, learning, and not backsliding for their teachers. It's a hard concept to understand.
Ben spent long days at work. He is currently in charge of some kind of COVID 19 task force for his current position. Lots of meetings, tracking of employees, and paperwork.
Honestly to me, the first week was a blessing. I loved being with the kids and the lack of schedule. It was time that we wouldn't have had if we didn't have the forced shelter in place. I hope that feeling continues as we move through this health crisis.
We are praying for our family and friends. Fervently praying over those on the front line in healthcare as I can't even imagine what the hospitals are currently like.
