Happy New Year/Pregnancy Closing Update

Hello everyone!
I hope that this entry finds you getting ready to celebrate the new year tomorrow! I cannot believe that 2012 is almost here.
Praying y'all have a blessed time tomorrow evening!
With the new year, I have been faced with some rough decisions with Skidz Wife Creations.
I need to close up shop early in January 2012 instead of mid-Feburary like I had originally planned.
Unfortunately, I will have MANY more appointments to keep myself and skidz kid #3 healthy before delivery than I previously anticipated. So as much as it pains me, I will be closing down  SWC for new orders in 2-3 weeks.
I most importantly have to take care of myself & my unborn babe but also have a family to look after as well. To all of you have emailed, messaged, & Facebooked me support....thank-you all so much! That really means the world to me to have such awesome customers/friends!
In a nutshell, Kymber Mae (yes we finally named her!) is doing great. Her mama on the other hand is not. In the next 13 or so weeks, I will be faced with cardiologist appointments, weekly non-stress test appointments, 2-3 times per week physical therapy appointments, and also my regular OB appointments.
Thus not leaving me time to devote to orders.
I want to service you to the best of my ability & give you a quality product. I don't feel that I will be able to do that under the current time constraints that I will have.
I am sorry to inconveinence you in anyway! Please make sure to firm up your orders with me because I will be shutting down orders once I meet max capacity even if it is not 2-3 weeks from now.
Although it feels disappointing to be ending 2011 on this note, I am keeping in mind the fact that you, the customers, made it such a memorable year for me! I am also looking ahead to when I come back from maternity leave & I am excited to see what new lines I can come up with!
Thank-you and Happy New Year from SWC!

Merry Christmas from Skidz Wife Creations!

I wish that I could send everyone of you a card this year, but since I can't I am hoping that this virtual one will do the trick!
Thank-you all for making my second year in business a smashing success & I look forward to sewing for you in 2012.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Prayer Requests

Before my day gets too chaotic, I wanted to ask a huge favor from my favorite business peeps.
Being that my company is a God-centered & run by a christian woman, I am asking my friends, clients, and fans to please keep 2 families in prayer today.
My friend, fellow deployment survivor, business & sewing mentor Christina R is undergoing major surgery today. Her diagnosis is uncertain and she has ALOT going on right now but somehow maintains her funky, free-loving spirit. Her post from her personal FB this morning was....
Today is THE DAY....headed to UNC Chapel Hill for surgery and skull reconstruction.
She is the owner of Leelee. If you would like to send her a word of encouragement, please visit her facebook page here

Also, please keep the Bloomer family in prayer.
This is another military family that we got to know while Ben (my husband, co-owner of SWC) was stationed in Cherry Point.
Joe accidently fell from the second deck to the first just 2 days prior to his homecoming. He has sustained spinal cord injuries as well as having to get several portions of his vertebrae fused together.
He was supposed to be medevac-ed today but has been postponed until December 22nd at this point. Please pray for continued recovery as well as for his sweet family which includes Stephanie and his 2 little boys (the youngest was born on this deployment.)

For those of you that are military spouses, you know how hard it is to be away from your major family support systems on a daily basis, let alone when things are going tragically wrong. My hope is to bathe them all in prayer so that they can feel the love in these trying times.
I (and their families) appreciate the prayer support at this time!
Thank-you and Merry Christmas!

Embroidery Question

Hello folks!
I just wanted to let you know the policy on embroidering on your personal items since I have had several messages about this particular question.
Yes, I do embroider on personal items provided by you (within reason.)
If the item requires me tearing it apart and sewing it back together again to embroider on it, (i.e. stockings, pillows, etc) I am not currently offering that service. Sorry for the inconveinence.
The charge for this service is $1.00 per 1,000 stitches. I will provide you with a cost estimate prior to accepting your order.

Again, ALL orders received will be processed (in the order they are received) in January 2012 as I am not accepting any more Christmas orders at this time.
Thank-you!!

Christmas Pick-up's

Howdy guys!
I just wanted to let you know that during this busy holiday time that I will be unable to do delivery or meetings. Items will need to be pick-up
ONLY!
I am also offering this only during the week time hours. We have many commitments on our time during the weekends and I am keeping those as family times.
I am sorry for any inconveinence that this might cause!

Friday, December 2, 2011

If you asked me to set back items for you to pick-up at a later date,
could you please give me an email
or
to let me know if you would still like to purchase them?
I will be opening up a Christmas sale album next week and they will go in the sale if you haven't contacted me by Monday!
Thanks!!

Sorry for any inconveinence!
